What is it and why do I need it? Well, branding is much more than a logo on a business card or livery on the side of a van.  It’s a set of values that your customers associate with your business.  Your brand is everything. It’s who you are, it’s what you do and why you do it; it’s who you do it for and your promise to customers new and old.

STRENGTH

A company logo isn’t your brand. It’s the visual part of the whole piece. It’s the first representative of what you’re about.  That’s where strength comes in, some brands are so strong you could even remove their name and you’d still know them.  Some can be just identified by a colour – think fizzy drink, think red.  Think chocolate, think purple…

consistency

The key to developing a strong brand and then maintaining that brand is consistency. Think of the big names such as Ford. You instanlty recognise the font, the colour, the brand on anything they do.  If you regularly change your visual image and change from one look to another you struggle to maintain a strong recognisable brand.
